The Atley Company History
Below is a timeline of key milestones in the history of Atley Pharmaceuticals.
- 1993 Company founded in Ashland, Virginia with four employees. First products are Sudex® (later called Sudal®) and Atuss®.
- 1994 Nine employees with expanded sales in North Carolina, Georgia and Texas. Additional products introduced in the Sudal® and Atuss® brand families.
- 1995 First $1million sales year. Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi territories are added.
- 1996 Home office moves to a 5,000 square-foot leased location. Fourteen additional staff and sales personnel are added.
- 2000 Sales and home office staff exceeds thirty people. Sales pass the $10million mark for the first time.
- 2002 Home office relocated to a newly built, 20,000 square-foot, state of the art facility on twenty acres of land.
- 2003 Full-time National Recruiter and National Trainer are added. Four new classes of sales-people are added in quarterly training sessions. QDALL® capsules introduced.
- 2004 Company staff exceeds eighty personnel. Sales territories now open in eighteen states.
- 2005 Four new products are introduced: Sudal®-12 Chewable tablets, QDALL® AR capsules, Atuss® HX capsules and Atuss® HD capsules all join the product line.
